Xanthan Gum And Guar Gum
Both xanthan and guar gum are GRAS under FDA and approved as additives in the EU (E415 and E412). EFSA re-evaluated both and found no safety concerns at current use levels.
What it is
A blend of two polysaccharide gums: xanthan gum (microbial fermentation product) and guar gum (galactomannan from guar beans).
Thickener, stabilizer, and emulsifier; provides viscosity and texture.
