Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate
Tetrasodium glutamate diacetate (GLDA) has been reviewed by EFSA for use as a food additive sequestrant; its 2018 safety opinion concluded the proposed uses were not of safety concern at expected exposure. It is used at low levels and is biodegradable, with no significant toxicity reported in dietary studies.
