Moderate concern
Sprinkles are mostly sugar and have minimal nutritional value. The main concern is artificial colors: many sprinkles contain FD&C dyes (e.g., Red 40, Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Blue 1), which some regulators and studies have linked to behavioral effects in sensitive children.
