Sodium Xylenesulfonate
Sodium xylenesulfonate is a surfactant solubilizer used in cleaning and personal-care products rather than food. The CIR Expert Panel concluded it is safe in rinse-off cosmetic products at the concentrations used.

Hydrotrope (CAS 1300-72-7), sodium salt of xylenesulfonic acid; used to solubilize surfactants in personal-care and cleaning formulas.
