Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate
A mild lactylate surfactant assessed as safe by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review and SCCS. The closely related sodium stearoyl lactylate (SSL, E481) is a GRAS food emulsifier.

Sodium salt of the condensation product of lauric acid and lactic acid; an anionic surfactant/emulsifier.
Mild surfactant/emulsifier; used both in foods and cosmetics.
