Polyglyceryl-6 Distearate
Polyglycerol esters of fatty acids (PGEs, E475) are approved emulsifiers in the EU and US with established ADI. EFSA re-evaluated them with no safety concerns at typical use levels.
What it is
Non-ionic emulsifier formed from polymerized glycerol (hexaglycerol) esterified with two stearic acid units.
Emulsifier and texture modifier; used in some foods (polyglycerol esters of fatty acids — E475 family) and widely in cosmetics.
