Polyglyceryl-3 Caprate
Polyglycerol fatty-acid esters (E 475) are authorized food emulsifiers with EFSA-set ADI. The polyglyceryl-3 caprate INCI form is mostly cosmetic but the chemistry is closely related to authorized food emulsifiers.
What it is
Ester of glycerol oligomers (triglycerol) with capric (C10) fatty acid; emulsifier.
Polyglycerol fatty-acid esters are food-grade emulsifiers (E 475 family in EU); polyglyceryl-3 caprate is used predominantly in cosmetics.
