Natural Lemon Flavouring
'Natural flavor' is an umbrella term defined by FDA at 21 CFR 101.22 that may contain dozens of undisclosed substances including solvents, emulsifiers, and processing aids. While generally derived from food sources and considered safe at use levels, the lack of compositional disclosure is the basis for moderate concern.
What it is
A natural flavoring derived from lemon (Citrus limon) sources such as essential oils, oleoresins, or extractives.
Imparts lemon flavor without added juice or pulp.
