Natural Apricot Flavouring
Also known as: natural apricot flavor
Natural flavorings are regulated and broadly safe at use levels. Flavorings derived from apricot kernels could in principle contain amygdalin (a cyanogenic glycoside), which is why benzaldehyde-containing kernel extracts are tightly limited; however, fruit-pulp derived apricot flavorings present minimal risk.
What it is
Natural apricot flavouring is a flavor preparation derived from apricot fruit and/or other natural sources, complying with the FDA definition of a natural flavor.
Flavoring agent.
Why it's flagged
