Lime oil is a natural citrus essential oil listed in FDA's GRAS spice and essential oil regulations (21 CFR 182.20). At normal flavoring levels there are no recognized health concerns.

Essential oil cold-pressed or steam-distilled from the rind of lime fruit (Citrus aurantifolia). Contains limonene and citral as primary components.
