Konjac Flour
Konjac glucomannan is a soluble dietary fiber recognized as such by the FDA. However, konjac jelly products have caused choking deaths in children due to their inability to dissolve and be cleared from the airway.
What it is
Flour made from the corm of Amorphophallus konjac, rich in glucomannan, a soluble dietary fiber.
Used as a thickener, gelling agent, and fiber source; basis of shirataki noodles.
