Hydrolyzed Lecithin Extract
Commercial lecithin and enzyme-modified (hydrolyzed) lecithin are FDA GRAS direct food substances. CIR has reviewed phosphoglycerides including hydrolyzed forms and concluded they are safe in current cosmetic uses.
What it is
Lecithin (a phospholipid mixture) that has undergone partial enzymatic or acid hydrolysis to remove a fatty acid.
Improved emulsifier and surfactant; better water dispersibility than native lecithin.
