Honey Flavouring
Generic flavoring term covering proprietary blends of natural and/or artificial flavoring substances. Individual components must be GRAS, but the lack of specificity in labeling makes detailed assessment impossible.
What it is
A flavor preparation imparting honey character; may be natural (derived from honey) or imitation (formulated from individual flavor compounds).
Provides honey-like aroma and taste without using whole honey, often at lower cost.
