High Oleic Sunflower Oil
High oleic sunflower oil is a permitted vegetable oil with a fatty acid profile dominated by monounsaturated fat. The FDA recognized a qualified health claim for oleic acid from edible oils such as high-oleic sunflower oil and reduced risk of coronary heart disease.
What it is
Sunflower oil from cultivars bred to be high in monounsaturated oleic acid (>80%).
Cooking and frying oil; used as a heat-stable replacement for partially hydrogenated oils.
