Geraniol
Geraniol is a naturally occurring flavoring with FEMA GRAS status and an established acceptable daily intake by JECFA. It is a recognized contact allergen in topical exposure but considered safe at food flavoring levels.
What it is
A naturally occurring monoterpene alcohol with a rose-like odor, found in geranium, rose, and citronella oils.
Flavoring agent and fragrance component.
