Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf/Twig Oil
Eucalyptus oil is approved by the FDA as a synthetic/natural flavoring substance under 21 CFR 172.510 at low levels. It is highly toxic if ingested in concentrated form, particularly in children: ingestion of as little as 5 mL of pure eucalyptus oil has been associated with serious poisoning.

Essential oil distilled from leaves and twigs of Eucalyptus globulus; main active is 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol).
Flavoring at low levels; topical/inhalation use in cosmetics and OTC products.
