Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract
Eucalyptus oil at culinary/flavoring doses (sub-mg amounts in lozenges) is well-tolerated. Ingestion of undiluted eucalyptus oil is toxic and can cause CNS depression and seizures, especially in children.
What it is
Extract from leaves of Eucalyptus globulus, containing 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol) and other terpenes.
Flavoring (very limited food use); used widely in cough drops, lozenges, oral care, and cosmetics.
