Quillaia Extract

Quillaia extract (E999) is an approved foaming agent. JECFA established an ADI of 0–5 mg/kg bw (Type 1) and 0–1 mg/kg bw (Type 2).

Quillaia (Quillaja saponaria) bark extract, a saponin-rich plant extract used as a foaming agent.
