Isomalt

Isomalt is a non-cariogenic sugar alcohol with about half the sweetness of sucrose. Like other polyols, can cause GI distress (bloating, laxative effect) at high doses.

Isomalt (E953) is a sugar alcohol made from beet sugar; a disaccharide alcohol composed of GPS and GPM.
