Rice bran wax is a non-absorbed plant wax used as a surface coating. EFSA's 2013 re-evaluation found no safety concerns at typical use levels.
What it is
Wax obtained from the bran of rice (Oryza sativa); composed mainly of long-chain wax esters.
Glazing/coating agent, anti-sticking agent, surface finishing.
