Sorbic Acid

Sorbic acid is FDA GRAS under 21 CFR 182.3089 and EFSA-authorized as E200. EFSA's 2019 follow-up opinion established a group ADI of 11 mg/kg bw/day (E200 + E202) based on a benchmark dose from a one-generation reproductive toxicity study.
