Chlorophylls

Chlorophylls (E140i) are approved food colors in both the EU and the US (as listed natural color additives). EFSA's 2015 reevaluation concluded that available data do not raise safety concerns at current use levels and no ADI was specified.
What it is
Chlorophylls (E140i) are natural green pigments extracted from edible plants such as alfalfa, nettle, or grass.
