Dl-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate

DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate is a recognized synthetic form of vitamin E used in fortification. Per NIH ODS, the synthetic dl form is about half as biologically active by weight as the natural d form.
What it is
Synthetic vitamin E (all-rac-alpha-tocopheryl acetate), an esterified, racemic form of alpha-tocopherol.
Vitamin E fortificant and antioxidant; the ester form has improved shelf stability vs free tocopherol.
