Cupric Citrate
Also known as: copper citrate
Copper is an essential trace mineral; cupric citrate is an authorised fortification source in the EU (Regulation 1925/2006) and is GRAS for use in conventional foods at levels meeting the RDA (~900 µg/day for adults). Excess copper intake (>10 mg/day, the UL) can cause GI upset and liver injury.

Copper(II) salt of citric acid, used as a soluble source of copper for food fortification and supplements.
