Candy Sugar

Sugar in all forms (sucrose, HFCS, dextrose, cane sugar, honey, agave, molasses) is classified as low_concern. Sugar is GRAS but contributes to added-sugar intake; the WHO/Dietary Guidelines recommend limiting free sugars to <10% of energy.
What it is
Crystallized sucrose ('rock sugar') in large clear or amber crystals, formed by slow recrystallization of sugar syrup; chemically identical to refined cane/beet sugar.
Sweetener; used for tea, brewing (Belgian beers), and decorative confectionery.
