Candied Orange Peel

Candied peel is high in added sugar (>60% sugar by weight typically). Some commercial versions may contain sulfites for preservation, which can trigger reactions in sensitive individuals.

Candied orange peel is orange rind cooked in sugar syrup until translucent and preserved with sugar.
Sweet ingredient used in baked goods, panettone, fruitcakes, and confectionery.
