Calcium
Calcium is an essential nutrient. NIH ODS reports adult Recommended Dietary Allowances of 1,000–1,200 mg/day with a Tolerable Upper Intake Level of 2,000–2,500 mg/day; chronic excessive intake from supplements can lead to hypercalcemia or kidney stones.
