Apple Pectin
Apple pectin is a natural soluble fiber. EFSA re-evaluated pectin (E440) in 2017 and found no safety concern at reported uses; FDA recognizes pectin as GRAS (21 CFR 184.1588).

Soluble fiber (heteropolysaccharide) extracted from apple pomace; primarily galacturonic acid units.
Gelling agent, stabilizer, thickener (E440).
