Agave Fiber
Agave fiber (agave inulin/fructans) is a recognized source of dietary fiber notified to FDA as GRAS for food use and is part of FDA's accepted list of dietary fibers. Like other fermentable fibers, it can cause GI symptoms (gas, bloating, diarrhea) at high intake.
What it is
Soluble dietary fiber (largely fructans/inulin-type carbohydrates) extracted from agave plants (Agave tequilana, Agave salmiana).
Soluble fiber and low-calorie sweetener bulk in functional beverages, bars, and supplements.
