Yorkshire Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 pint milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 oz butter or clarified dripping
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 400°F. Place 1 oz butter or dripping in a baking tin and heat until melted.
- 2 In a basin, combine flour, eggs, salt, and a small amount of milk. Stir smoothly with a wooden spoon.
- 3 Gradually whisk in the remaining milk until the batter is smooth and lump-free.
- 4 Pour batter into the hot tin with the melted fat. Bake for 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden.
