Yorkshire Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 pint milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 oz butter or clarified dripping

Method

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 400°F. Place 1 oz butter or dripping in a baking tin and heat until melted.
  2. 2 In a basin, combine flour, eggs, salt, and a small amount of milk. Stir smoothly with a wooden spoon.
  3. 3 Gradually whisk in the remaining milk until the batter is smooth and lump-free.
  4. 4 Pour batter into the hot tin with the melted fat. Bake for 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden.
