Yeast Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • ½ cup small beer yeast
  • Flour (as needed)
  • ¼ cup warm water
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter

Method

  1. 1 Warm the milk and mix with the yeast and enough flour to make a batter. Cover and keep warm until risen.
  2. 2 Stir in warm water and salt. Rub butter into a small amount of flour.
  3. 3 Combine ingredients to form a soft dough. Let rest for 45 minutes.
  4. 4 Shape into rolls, let rise again, and bake in a hot oven (425°F).
