Yeast-Raised Corn Meal Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 pint corn meal
  • 1 egg-sized piece butter
  • 2 eggs
  • new milk (as needed)
  • 1 spoonful yeast

Method

  1. 1 Rub butter into corn meal until combined.
  2. 2 Mix in eggs and enough milk to form a batter.
  3. 3 Stir in yeast and let rise near heat for one hour.
  4. 4 Pour batter into buttered pans and bake.
