Whole Wheat Raisin Buttermilk Scones

  • 1 cup whole-wheat flour
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup salt
  • 4 tablespoons raisins
  • 2/3 cup butter, melted

Method

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine whole-wheat flour, all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  2. 2 Mix in raisins. In a separate small bowl, combine melted butter and buttermilk.
  3. 3 Add liquid ingredients to the flour mixture and mix gently until just combined.
