Whole Wheat Griddle Cakes
Ingredients
- ½ cup entire wheat flour
- 1 cup flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 egg
- 1¼ cups milk
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
Method
- 1 Whisk together the entire wheat flour, flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
- 2 In a separate bowl, beat the egg, then mix in the milk and melted butter.
- 3 Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- 4 Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat and grease lightly.
- 5 Pour batter onto the griddle and cook until bubbles form, then flip and cook until golden brown.
