Whole Wheat Banana Pancakes With Cinnamon Apples
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 eggs
- 1 cup 1% milk
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3/4 cup oil
- 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 bananas
- 3 apples
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 cup cinnamon
- water
Method
- 1 Beat eggs, then mix in milk, honey, and oil.
- 2 Stir in whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, and baking powder until combined.
- 3 Slice bananas and fold them into the batter.
- 4 Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and coat with cooking spray.
- 5 Pour 1/4 cup batter per pancake; cook until bubbly and edges are dry.
- 6 Flip and cook 2-3 minutes until golden; keep warm on a platter.
- 7 Repeat with remaining batter, adding more spray as needed.
- 8 Core and thinly slice apples, keeping the peel on.
- 9 Simmer apples with sugar, cinnamon, and water in a skillet for 10 minutes.
- 10 Spoon the warm apple topping over the pancakes to serve.
