  • Apples, peeled and cored (enough to fill a deep dish)
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 quart milk
  • Sugar to taste
  • Nutmeg to taste

Method

  1. 1 Peel and core ripe apples that cook easily, arranging them to fill a deep dish.
  2. 2 Whisk 5 eggs with 1 quart of milk, adding sugar and nutmeg to taste.
  3. 3 Pour the custard mixture over the apples and bake for 30 minutes.
