White Wine Melted Butter Sauce
Ingredients
- 4 oz butter
- 2 tsp flour
- 1 cup boiling water
- salt to taste
- 1 tsp cold water
- 1/4 cup white wine (optional)
- 1/2 nutmeg, grated (optional)
Method
- 1 Melt 4 oz butter in a saucepan over heat.
- 2 Stir in 2 tsp flour and 1 cup boiling water. Add salt.
- 3 Boil for a few minutes, then stir in 1 tsp cold water.
- 4 For pudding sauce, add 1/4 cup white wine and grated nutmeg.
