  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup milk or cream
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper

Method

  1. 1 Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. 2 Add flour and whisk until well combined.
  3. 3 Slowly add milk or cream while stirring constantly until smooth.
  4. 4 Add salt and white pepper, then boil for 3 minutes.
