White Cornmeal Buttermilk Cornbread
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups white cornmeal
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1 cup buttermilk
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a baking pan with butter.
- 2 Mix cornmeal, salt, and baking soda in a bowl.
- 3 Stir in melted butter, beaten egg, and buttermilk until combined.
- 4 Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes.
