Whipped Lemon Wine Syllabub
Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups heavy cream
- 1 cup Rhenish wine
- ½ cup sack (sherry)
- juice of 3 lemons
- 1 lb powdered sugar
- zest of 3 lemons
Method
- 1 Sift powdered sugar into a large bowl.
- 2 Add heavy cream, Rhenish wine, sherry, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
- 3 Whisk vigorously for 30 minutes until thickened.
- 4 Spoon into glasses and serve.
