Wheatmeal Sponge Cake
Ingredients
- 6 oz fine wheatmeal
- 1/2 lb castor sugar
- 4 eggs
- Flavoring to taste
Method
- 1 Beat the eggs until light and fluffy.
- 2 Sift in the sugar and gently fold until combined.
- 3 Sift in the wheatmeal and fold gently to incorporate.
- 4 Pour into a well-greased cake tin.
- 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 1 to 1.5 hours.
