Wheatmeal And White Flour Pancakes
Ingredients
- 1/4 lb white flour
- 1/4 lb fine Allinson wheatmeal
- 4 eggs
- 1 pint milk
- pinch of salt
- butter, oil, or vegetable butter for frying
Method
- 1 Whisk flour, wheatmeal, eggs, milk, and salt until smooth to form a thin batter.
- 2 Heat a frying pan with a walnut-sized piece of butter until boiling hot.
- 3 Pour in enough batter to make a thin pancake and fry until golden brown.
- 4 Flip and fry the other side until browned, then fold in half.
- 5 Transfer to a hot dish and keep warm in the oven while frying the rest.
