Walnut Or Raisin Quick Bread
Ingredients
- 2½ cups flour
- ½ cup graham flour
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup walnuts or raisins
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1½ cups milk
Method
- 1 Sift the flour, graham flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder together in a large bowl.
- 2 Chop the walnuts or raisins and stir them into the dry ingredients.
- 3 Beat the egg into the milk, then pour the mixture into the dry ingredients to form a soft dough.
- 4 Place the dough into a greased loaf pan and let it stand for 30 minutes.
- 5 Bake in a 350°F oven for 45 to 60 minutes.
