Vinegar Glazed Carrots And Peas

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Crisco
  • 1 bunch carrots, scraped and cut into small pieces
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1 cup cooked peas

Method

  1. 1 Boil carrots in boiling salted water until tender.
  2. 2 Blend Crisco and flour in a saucepan over heat. Stir in 1 cup of the water used to cook the carrots and boil for five minutes.
  3. 3 Add sugar, salt, pepper, vinegar, parsley, peas, and carrots to the saucepan. Simmer for ten minutes and serve hot.
