Vinegar Glazed Carrots And Peas
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Crisco
- 1 bunch carrots, scraped and cut into small pieces
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- 1 cup cooked peas
Method
- 1 Boil carrots in boiling salted water until tender.
- 2 Blend Crisco and flour in a saucepan over heat. Stir in 1 cup of the water used to cook the carrots and boil for five minutes.
- 3 Add sugar, salt, pepper, vinegar, parsley, peas, and carrots to the saucepan. Simmer for ten minutes and serve hot.
