Vienna Flour Butter Buns
Ingredients
- 1 lb household flour
- 1 lb Vienna flour
- 1 oz yeast
- ½ lb butter
- 6 eggs
- ½ pint milk
- Sugar to taste
- 1 egg white for glaze
Method
- 1 Make milk tepid and mix smoothly with yeast. Stir into the household flour.
- 2 Knead into a dough. Rub butter into the Vienna flour and beat in eggs with sugar.
- 3 Knead both doughs together. Let rise for about two hours.
- 4 Shape into buns and place on a floured baking sheet.
- 5 Bake in a quick oven (425°F) for 10 minutes. Brush with egg white to glaze near the end.
