Veal Stew With Drop Dumplings
Ingredients
- 3 lbs veal, cut into strips
- Cold water
- Salt
- Pepper
- Butter
- Potatoes, cut into balls
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- Pinch of salt
- Sifted flour
Method
- 1 Cut veal into strips, cover with cold water, boil, and skim.
- 2 Add pepper, salt, butter, and potato balls to the pot.
- 3 Mix eggs, milk, salt, and enough flour to form a drop batter.
- 4 Drop spoonfuls of batter into the stew, cover, and boil for 20 minutes.
