Veal Scaloppine With Parsley And Tomato Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean veal, sliced
- 1/4 medium onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp flour
- 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
- 1/2 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 2 tbsp tomato sauce
- Salt to taste
- Toast diamonds for serving
Method
- 1 Chop the onion. Heat oil and butter in a saucepan, then add the onion and sauté until softened.
- 2 Layer the veal slices in the pan. Season with salt and a small piece of butter. Cook over medium heat until the bottom layer is browned.
- 3 Sprinkle flour over the meat, then add chopped parsley and minced garlic. Stir to combine.
- 4 Separate the cutlets, mix them with the sauce, and pour in hot water and tomato sauce. Simmer slowly until cooked through. Serve with toast diamonds.
