Veal Meatballs With Spaghetti
Ingredients
- 1 cup minced cold veal
- 1 tbsp finely minced blanched almonds or chopped mushrooms
- 1 beaten egg
- Cracker dust
- Deep fat for frying
- Spaghetti
- Salted water
- Butter
- 1 cup strained tomato sauce
Method
- 1 Mince cold veal and season to taste. Mix in a good gravy to moisten slightly.
- 2 Stir in minced almonds or chopped mushrooms. Bind with a beaten egg and stir over heat for one minute. Cool.
- 3 Flour hands and form mixture into egg-shaped balls. Roll in egg and cracker dust.
- 4 Fry balls in deep fat until golden. Arrange boiled spaghetti on a platter border.
- 5 Butter the spaghetti generously and pour strained tomato sauce over it. Heap the veal eggs in the center.
