Veal Gravy Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mushrooms, peeled and cleaned
  • 1 cup veal gravy or milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. 1 Place cleaned mushrooms in a saucepan with veal gravy (or milk), butter, flour, salt, and pepper.
  2. 2 Stir well to combine and place over gentle heat.
  3. 3 Stew slowly until mushrooms are tender, skimming occasionally.
  4. 4 Strain the sauce before serving.
