Veal And Beef Meatloaf
Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped veal
- 1 cup chopped beef
- ¼ cup breadcrumbs from a fresh loaf
- 1 raw egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Optional: blanched and chopped almonds
Method
- 1 Combine chopped veal, beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, and almonds in a bowl.
- 2 Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
- 3 Place a large slice of butter on top and bottom of the loaf.
- 4 Cook in a moderate oven (350°F) for about 30 minutes.
